Moxibustion

Moxibustion is one of the oldest healing techniques used in Chinese Medicine dating back thousands of years. Moxa, as it is commonly called, is the Chinese herb ai ye, or mugwort. Heat is created by burning the moxa directly or indirectly over the body producing a warm sensation.  Moxa is most often used during an acupuncture treatment to help create a soothing, healing effect.
